Where the hell do you come from!? I just finished watching Defiance with Nate and can I just comment on how undeniably sexy Leiv Schrieber is? With a cigg and a machine gun AND an ax!? Where does one get off looking so particularly spicy!?
Back to real life now, my first day of interning at Signature LA Direct Magazine, it was a pretty alright first day I think the girls I'll be working with are really cool, its a small publication so its an intimate work space and a lot of learning and experiencing happens. I love the building and I am already bff's with the door man. Kobe and Lamar and George Lopez and a few other celebs keep lofts there. I think were the only business located in the building right now. Turns out my friend Spencer's dad did a lot of the art and painting renovations for the building so that's cool.
Tomorrow I go in again bright at early to rise and sit in traffic! All for the greater good though, that's my key phrase as of late. Can't keep stressing about life its gona go in good places when its right so I just have to keep going going going strong!
Today was the first day in socal that it actually felt like autumn! I wore a scarf AND a leather jacket and not just cause it looked cool, cause it was chilly! BAM!
Sleep tight little love bugs catch me tomorrow!

chuck bass. be mine. ...forever.
hi pretty girls :)
i apologize for being so MIA lately! i was taken over by bronchitis and graphic design work... lovely combo if i do say so myself.
i did however mange to attend my very first angels game! (no i am not betraying our love for the dodgers) i just figured that after living in orange for 3 going on 4 years that i should get a little culture in me? so attending an angel game was my solution! (exciting- i know!)
picture? okay!

[marissa and i at the game]
that was pretty much the highlight of my life lately... oh and i vacuumed... yeah that's really about it.
lots of graphic design going on in the hizz-ouse. very time consuming... but kendall sings to me while i work which makes it entertaining.
we watched gossip girl and drank champagne last night. well we actually watched gossip girl for 40 minutes until we finally got the bottle open... then we drank champagne and watched gossip girl. i'm pretty sure i'm in love with chuck bass. yeah actually pretty positive. he's essentially a pompous, arrogant, asshole... and i don't even mind. i think we would make a delightful couple.

[...i love you.]
i apologize for my boring-ness. i will make something stupendous happen asap.
miss you all- like a fat kid misses cake on a diet.

needs/wants/obsessions
we can all admit it, there are things that we get obsessed with and im going to show you a few of mine.
1. the Brand New album Daisy especially the song "At the Bottom"
2. Mediterranean food...gyros and labneh in particular

amazing gyros i got at the street fair on broadway this past weekend
if you don't know what labneh is, shame on you. don't worry though, im here to save you...its basically a yogurt cheese that can be eaten with pita or my favorite, pita chips from trader joe's (the sea salt ones). get on it!
ps-if you're in new york city, specifically the east village go to Hummus Place and pick yourself up some amazing food.
3. St Germain

Maggie should probably be included in this too because we tried it for the first time together. it tastes like juicy juice and will rock your world. no lies.
4. insane, out of your mind heels

No matter how tall or how short you are, I think every girl needs an amazing pair of super high heels. My favorites are anything with a platform. (It makes them easier to walk in and allows them to be even taller...two amazing plus') A personal favorite of mine are around 3 years old, Betsy Johnson, amazing heels. Just because its like 6 seasons behind you doesn't make them 'ugly' or 'uncool'. Wear what you want and be fabulous. Mission for the fall, I need a pair of black booties with an amazing heel...tell me if anyone finds them!
5. black purses. giant insane black purses

amazing Louis Vuitton Black Mahina Leather...i don't need to say any more except if someone has an extra 5k you know where to spend it.
(Segway, totally stepping on your fashion toes Ali, sorry! But I'm done now.)
6. Valmont

Truely amazing movie that was made when I was just a little fetus...however, probably one of the only movies I am always in the mood for. It's what Cruel Intentions was based on, so if you liked that movie you will love this one.
Those are all of the things right now that I'm either obsessing over/need/or want in my life. Now it's back to reality...where's the fun in that?

Omg I'm dumb
I haven't posted in a while cause our stupid internet sucks a large penis. LARGE.
A lot has been going on up here in Oregon. The ducks played Cal and kicked their ass hardcore. We had our first party in our new place. It was pretty fun but not a lot people showed up cause my roomie Cory broke her phone and couldn't call a lot of people. We did have fun. Except for the fact that one of my friends decided to pass out in my room and lock the door. A random guy at the party had to break into my room. Finally got it open and kicked my friend's ass. He was passed out so he didn't even notice. Super.
I went for a little hike with my roommates and it was SO beautiful. I have pictures!

Nothing really exciting is going on right now but Wednesday I'm going to Monmouth to go to this bar called Lenora's Ghost and it's going to be sooooo fun. College Night bitches!

gelnn coco!

Mondays.
Last night I had a mild anxiety attack at the though of ending up with someone like my parents. This mostly stemmed from me watching 'Bored to Death' it came up on the show, then I read an article that stated that we are programmed to end up with people who are like our parents and there is pretty much nothing we can do about it.Freud says regardless we fall in love without having any control over the situation. I freaked out and to say the least it was a rough night. I am about to go grab sushi with my friend Nate I haven't seen him in a few weeeks so we have some moderate to severe catching up to do. After lunch I regrettable need to go to work and hustle that dollar. Mom hates that I'm doing this internship because it doesn't pay... Parental stress is the worst stress especially when its about money.
Someone told me you have to get rid of the things you don't want or need to make room in your life for the things you do want and need.
Perhaps its time I do a little more cleaning up.
What about you? Do you think you'll end up with your parents?

Cafe on the Commons
I am currently writing a paper in a cafe just outside Boston. Considering the fast times my topic might be of interest to people: a molecular condom.
Basically, it's a gel that women put on the vajay. It gets technical but scientists are still working on the microbicide gel that will prevent HIV infection and other STDs (!) and insemination (!!). AKA, if things work out, no annoying condoms, just lube!
http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2009/08/090810024837.htm
Want to earn money? Sign up with BlastOff
I've signed up with a company that is looking for people to help with their affiliated advertising. I'm in the process of setting up my account but once it is done, I need people to sign up underneath me. Essentially, I made a webpage that has links to other websites for online shopping. Once you have made an account (easy: just an account name and password) you can use my site to shop online. You get discounts on certain things.
How do you earn money?
Every time someone underneath you (someone who has registered their account under your name) goes shopping , you get a commission. SO, if I sign up and Smitty signs up underneath me, Maggie signs up underneath Smitty, and Ali signs up underneath Smitty and also purchases something online via this webpage, Smitty, Maggie, and myself all earn a commission from Ali's purchase.
It's super easy, please let me now if you're interested!

All in order, almost.
So if you were wondering why D offered her congratulations to me its because...I got ther internship with the editor I've been wanting to work with, I was hired on the spot, I start Tuesday and I'm very excited! She's at the Signature LA Direct magazine so that's where I will be. Its at the Roosevelt building downtown off of 7th street. I'm there 3 days a week and working at my retail job as well (gotta make that dolla).
I am so excited to learn everything I cannot wait, everyone seems to think this is the start of my life and I can't help but start to believe it, after this I doubt anything will be the same. This is exactly what I've wanted and I don't think I could be happier unless they hired me full time, but ill work my ass off untill they do.
So coming up in LA life, video segments, styled shoots, interviews, and fun! I'm so excited I can't wait!
Emma is going to teach me how to not be as ignorant behind a nice camera, were gonna film some vintage hunting and eachother, and its just going to be explosive I am so beyond happy to be able to share this with you all.
Sometimes it takes someone letting you down to get on your feet and do better than you could have imagined.
Night!

So today I woke up in a pretty good mood, I have a very productive evening the night before so I had every right to be in a good mood. I went to work and then from work rushed home and got ready to go the Britney Spears show at the Staples center downtown with two of my best friends Steph and Chrissy who I refer to (out of obviousness and convenience) 'the twins',Through some chain of events we got to see Britney for free and had pretty good seats. I don't really like her but the show was ok, nothing awesome but I'm not gonna lie I busted out my teenage vocal chords for 'Hit me baby one more time' I called smit, her phone failed and she instead got to hear the finale to the song 'Womanizer' which inculded a complimentary play by play narration by yours truly. I had a drink ate some spicy tuna hand rolls and all in all had a good night. I hate crowds though, and dirty skanks which were in abundace. Thank God I am always safe and guaranteed an excellent night with the twins :)
Now I'm in bed and exhausted gonna rest up for tomorrow.
Goodnight, sweet dreams.

you have a stupid comb over. this is not 1950. you are not john travolta in grease.
you have ugly tattoos.
MAYBE you should have decided to bring your english-japanese dictionary to class so you dont speak in half japanese when you speak because NO ONE KNOWS JAPANESE.

in my daydreams, in my sleep
someone really should get on me for being the worst updater ever!
this weekend was full of a lot of work balanced out by a lot of nothing.
saturday-
woke up super early to pick up the zipcar from 1st between 2nd and 3rd (get it? kinda funny). from there lauren, summer, and i drove up to hyde park in upstate NY to have an easy photo sesh at the Vanderbilt summer home. a funny thing happens when you leave the city...a lot of trees and nature appears and it totally hit me by surprise. we had to stop to get gas and one good thing about zipcar is that the gas is on them (not really because you have to spend $70 a day for a damn car and they just give you a gas card) and i totally messed up getting gas...how exactly? i really dont know. but apparently its possible.

who would have thought sleepy hollow and pleasantville are so close to each other?

projects in the bronx...i bet j lo lived in one of these.

driving out of the city!
after about 2 hours of driving we decided to stop at a super cute diner called the eveready diner...except we called it the everyday diner...because we cant read? whatever. anyways the most important part about this diner is that it was on diners, drive ins, and dives!!!! COULDN'T CHOOSE A BETTER PLACE! i got a cobb salad and yummy chocolate shake.

outside of the diner

!!!!!!

the motto inside the menu...i like it a lot
after we ate we drove to the mansion and summer got dressed up and was our model for the day. these are just some un-edited digital photos...i took two rolls on my holga and they are being developed as i type...ill post them sometime this week...i have to get them scanned in and all that jazz...remember unedited dont judge, theyre not final or the actual shots i wanted.

there is a little house on the property that someone still lives in (maybe they didnt get the hint its a park now?) and these boots were on the steps...perfect timing.

alright well those are some digital files, like i said the film is being processed.
that night i video chatted with ali for like 2 hours it was so good to see her face ive missed it! i think were working on a little trip for her to come up and visit me which would be awesome and if not next month ill be here all year...fingers crossed though! as i was falling asleep that night i heard a lot of screaming outside of my window so naturally i had to look outside and what do you know?!? a bitch fight! highlight-one girl pulled the other girls hair extensions out...best fight ever. the rest was just a lot of screaming and name calling, pretty awesome.
yesterday i did literally nothing so there is nothing to say. i did. nothing. at all. except right before i went to bed i video chatted with maggie and she made pretty music videos with kendall. they were really funny haha.
alright off to develop the 2 rolls of b&w 120 i found in my purse...what is on them you ask? i have no idea they could easily be from freshman year.

Tricky
this is a style section from this months LA Signature magazine enjoy!

I am still at my brothers house, bored actually he left for a wedding brunch with the little nugget and Jenny- his wife.
When he gets back I think my parents are all taking us out to dinner to a Mexican restraunt out here that is supposedly the bee's knees.
I have just sent out some emails and have a very BIG important one to send out first thing tomorrow morning I want all of you to cross your fingers for me I hope everything goes well and what happens is what is meant to happen.
When I get back to L.A. its buisness time; time to buckle down and start doing the things I love best after all, I have a place to share all my creativity now!
photoshoots, videos, styling, writing, music, designing my little things.. all full speed!!
My friends 'The Twins' bought me a ticket to the Britney Spears show on Wednesday
Im not really impressed with her I feel like after all her public debacles her patina is damaged beyond repair the illusion of a true star is forever damaged and I can see now (as if it wasnt obvious before) its the people managing her that make her not her actual 'talent'.
But I will have fun and I will take pictures!
Hope your Sunday is as lazy as mine.
Miss Montrose...L.A.
Amazingness
Okay so this is my first post and I really have no idea what to write about. I guess I'll start with my trip up to Oregon which was about five days ago.
I left with my padre on Monday morning at 5:00 a.m. NOT FUN. We drove from L.A. to San Fran cause I've never been there before. I was having a major case of the sads cause my mom started crying when I left which made me cry. When we finally got to San Fran it was 2:00 p.m. and I was exhausted. We checked into our hotel which was realllllllly cute. It's called Kabuki and it's in Japan Town. The only problem was my dad and I shared a room and the door to the "shower room" was completely see through....no thanks. I was hungry by 3:00 p.m. so we went to this little chinese restaurant which was really fucking good. I wish I took pictures but I was so hung up on how good the food was that I completely forgot.
After lunch my dad and I took a cab to the fisherman's wharf.....I fucking LOVED it. For some reason I now have this fascination with Alcatraz. I think it's because when we were driving there in the cab(which btw the cab driver was going 65 mph down the steep streets...I was scared for my life) I happened to glance over and see Alcatraz and there was fog covering it and birds flying around which just made it look so creepy. I loved it! When we got there we looked at some of the shops then walked to where the boats were and saw a bunch of sea lions!! They smelled like shit but were soooo cute. After walking around for a good 30 minutes I realized I could barely keep my eyes open so we decided to head back to the hotel. We took another cab and that guy was even MORE crazy than the first. He kept burping and biting his nails then spitting it somewhere in the car. He was driving like a crazy person....I don't think I could ever live in San Fran. It really is beautiful but I don't think I can handle all the crazy that goes on there.
I went to bed that night at 6:30 p.m. and slept like a baby. The next morning my dad and I woke up at 4:30 a.m. and left San Fran for my new hometown Eugene, Or. The drive went by really fast and before I knew I was home. I walked up to my new condo and opened the door. It's a lot bigger than I imagined it to be. I'm going to take pictures and post them here soon!
So now I'm here and I need a fucking job. I went out on thursday and got a bunch of applications. I've filled out the majority of them and I have to turn them in tomorrow.
I absolutely love this place. The weather, the people, everything about Eugene is amazing to me.
okay so that's it for now....I actually wrote more than I thought I would. Sweet!

Peace all

Epiphany
I may have just had a breakthrough in life:

Taking a little time up north
I am in Reno, Nevada right now visiting my brother, sister in law, and my new baby nephew
sorry for being a lame ass sick bitch :(

Maddox Scott Montrose. Of course I came bearing gifts a 3 foot plush pirate ship complete with a 6 man stuffed bear pirate crew for him to sail down the stairs in when he gets older, a Led Zepplin lullaby CD, and piles of clothing. I am still super sick and terrified I am going to get germs anywhere near the little nugget :(
I just spent a little time taking advantage of my brothers mac book to video chat with smitty, i got really frustrated macs are sooo different than pcs.
this is the gorgeous purse i just bought its going to mesh perfectly with my fall wardrobe!
I think im going to start posting outfit ideas so i will start now since today was nothing spectacular i spent the day in and out of consciousness in the back seat of a suv for 6 hours on the way to Reno. However I did jam out to some Fleetwood Mac (Rumors).

growing pangs
FIRST THINGS FIRST: ali is at sonic right now and sent me photos...i must post them. no other words are necessary except that im really fucking jealous.

okay real post:
yesterday was a crazy day that was spent not anywhere near a computer so therefore i couldn't upload anything fun. so...my update is thus far:thursday:
stayed up WAY too late wednesday night freaking out about the project that was due at noon the next day. well...i got to class and no one else did what i did so i looked like the class suck-up. awesome.
met up with olivia to go to an art gallery closing on the west side which was weird cause going over there is like going to a TOTALLY different world. so weird. it was a show about 3-D photos, shadows, video, etc. it was really fun cause you had to put on the glasses and walk around. everyone was super into the pieces. and the best, free wine!
went to blockheads with olivia and rachel last night for our [so far two week] annual margarita night...pictures down below. then i went with rachel to astoria to watch always sunny in philadelphia; sadly we missed it because we may or may not have been a little bit intoxicated and stoppedat two mcdonalds [one to pee and one to actually get food...i got a quarter pounder dont jusdge] once we got there, katie showed up about a half hour later from
work and we spent the whole night doing what we did our sophmore and junior years. candy. other stuff. tv.
today:
my computer works! (i dont want to say it too loud for fear it wants to break again)
came in the city early with RP and tried to nap before my yoga class but of course that failed...too many texts phone calls and bbms so i just accepted the fact that sleep was not a part of my destiny.
went to yoga class, did a head stand [word] and tried to take another nap when i got back to my apartment. that too didnt work...aaron came by and we met up with kate for fro-yo. he peaced and kate and i tore up urban and a few other stores in union square. [i got a long black blazer and two tanks to wear underneath, so cute] got film for tomorrow [super exciting trip in the prius tomorrow...photos galore if all goes well!]
now im going to hang out in my apartment because i walked way too much and have growing pangs ouch--->photos below
