A. Why LA>Boston (well, Brandeis, depending on how my mood is)
B. Today's News (this just cannot go unknown)
C. Ranting
A. LA>Boston
LA Pros
-weather (80 degrees in LA at 4pm)
-car, means driving, means alone time with my music
-best friends
-boyfriend
-family
-range of food (not just Asian!)
-BEACH (fun) volleyball
-Beach
-famous people
-liberals
-less criticism on arts
-my cats (yes, i'm a cat person.)
-starbucks. daily.
-MENCHIES. (DAILY)
Boston Cons (this should be clarified to Waltham and a certain, very specific university that I attend)
-freakin' cold (40 degrees at 7pm, snow saturday)
-conservatives
-bad cafeteria food
-uptight, puritanical people
-behind on the music scene
-preppy (where's the fashion?)
-long distance relationship
-close minded people (religion, politics, art, music, etc/everything)
-216 days until commencement: how about we just knock off the last 215? Sometimes I wish I could push the fast-forward button on the DVD player and have the same effect on real life. I think my whole viewpoint on college is tainted.
B. Today's news:
A boy was "lost" in a homemade balloon his father uses to track weather. Insane.
What's even more insane? He wasn't in the balloon to begin with, but yet, after hours of panic trying to bring the balloon down, the boy was still at home hiding in the basket he was "seen getting into" before the balloon took off for the skies.
C. Rant
I've come to realization that I like to study, but I'm ready for the next step. I don't want to be studying things I'm not interested in, like sociology or required science classes, but a focus. I want my classes to overlap and be a part of the same idea.
If i go into child psychology I have my work, and tuition bills, cut out for me, but I'm ready to be taken seriously. I'm ready to make money, have a set schedule...start a life. (Smitty and Maggie don't put that "m" word in my mouth just yet!)
Song of the post:
Empire State of Mind (Alicia Keys & Jay-Z
Mad World (Michael Andrews & Gary Jules)
Desire of the moment:

May your day be better than mine,
P
{Boston}
