.Whats the best part about the city you live in?
new york really is the city that never sleeps. if you want to get pizza at 4am after a 1am movie and then take a walk in union you can...because 1000 other people are doing the same thing.

.What was the last concert you went to?
WOW...taking back sunday about 3 years ago...it was amazing though.

.What was the first concert you went to? Who went?
OTOWN!!! at the greek and i went with my mom. im cool.

.Which Bands/Artists shaped your taste in music?
brand new, the used, taking back sunday (in that order) um...britney too cause she makes me wanna dance.

.In your opinion what is the best spot in your city?
lower east side and the west village. i'm a downtown girl, usually never go past 33rd street. and RARELY go to the west side.best food:mamouns on st. marks/macdougal st blockheads 33rd and 3rd ave ($4 margaritas and giant burritos) pick-a-bagel 23rd and 3rd avebest hangout:union squarethe park next to the marc jacobs store in the west village

.Favorite season in said city?
SPRING...when all the cherry blossoms bloom in central park, so so beautiful. goodbye snow!

.What is your favorite venue to hear music in the city?
i haven't seen a show in new york city...i know, i know horrible person! but i heard gramercy theatre and irving plaza are awesome.

.Any places you have yet to go to that you want to visit there?
the statue of liberty...i feel like i should go, i have lived here for 4 years haha.

.Top five artists/bands of the moment?
i'm on an old school kick because...just because
1. brand new
2. the strokes
3. justin timberlake (judge me)
4. every time i die
5. the used

.Any releases you're excited for?
Daisy, but that came out a couple weeks ago and it's great. 

.Has music shaped your life in anyway?
totally, completely. i have playlists according to my mood, im sure everyone does though. also music that my parents listened to when i was younger, i have come to appreciate. ex: lionel, whitney, disco etc...

.Do you play any instruments?
violin from kindergarden-6th grade and piano from 6th grade-right now. i love the piano...working on classicals, more specifically Beethoven.

.Favorite New York City institution?
The Witney Museum, MoMA...i'm an art nerd, what do you expect?

.Where do you go to hear or find about new music?
pandora. my friends.

.I feel like music has a way of inspiring art in all forms, how has it (if at all) influenced your chosen art form?
music inspired my work more when i painted because that is such an expressive art form. now that my concentration is on photography it's harder to shape my work according to my mood. but when i'm brainstorming the music that is on certainly brings on different ideas than if it weren't on.

.What in your opinion is soo New York City ex: jews and retirement homes in florida
Taxi's, fights on the street, bagels, pizza, loud italian men yelling for no reason, street kids...the list can keep going.

.Any artists/bands you wish would shut up?
lady gaga. miley cyrus, r&b music (neo, baby bash, all that bs etc etc etc)
