The events that have been going on here in Oregon have been so out of the blue but so incredibly fun that I'm not sure why it took me so long to move up here. First the weirdest thing happened a couple days ago. One of my roommates has a snake named Buddha. He doesn't bother me cause I kind of like snakes. The only thing that bothers me is my roommate has to buy small rats and feed them to him. Sad face. So he comes home with a tiny little white rat and goes to feed Buddha.
Two days go by and I'm in my old roommates room trying to find a shirt(haha thanks!) when I hear this scratching noise. I assumed it came from downstairs because we were having a party so I continued looking. Then I heard it again. This time I noticed a large box in the corner of her room. I looked inside and that fucking rat was in there looking up at me with the cutest face ever. Anyone who knows me knows that I LOVE animals and I used to have a pet rat. I ran downstairs and yelled at my roommate to either feed it to his snake or let it go.
I wake up the next morning a little hungover and go downstairs to see a letter from the office telling me I have a package. I walk outside to the main office and get it. When I get to my building I noticed some guy on a bike that's stopped and is looking down at something...then I finally see it. The little white rat. This guy looks at me all freaked out that the rat is approaching him which I then tell him that my roommate let it go cause his snake wouldn't eat it. So long story short I now have the rat in my room and I need to get rid of it. I think I'm going to give it to petco or something but I'm already getting attached. Shit.
Anwayssss Oregon has been AMAZING. All my friends know whyyyyy. I'm going to Lenora's tomorrow for college night and I'm so excited! I'll be taking numerous pictures so expect an update tomorrow.
